Choose a proper adhesive

When filling gaps in white stone, you should choose glue with strong yellowing resistance, such as MasterMason White Epoxy, with a highest yellowing resistance level.

At the same time, you need to avoid choosing adhesives with added diluents (active or inactive) when caulking, because incomplete curing will lead to oil spots(glue oil seepage).

You can use 3H diluted in a ratio of 1:4 and apply it over the seams. After it dries, use glue to fill the seams. Our epoxy will not leak glue oil, but in order to prevent the worker from uneven stirring and incomplete curing, it is also recommended to use 3H once.

Harden the surface before polishing

White marble has a softer texture. After grinding to 150 mesh, dilute 3H and water in a ratio of 1:4 and apply it once. Let it dry completely for more than 8 hours before grinding. This can improve the gloss and smoothness of the ground stone, and also lay a good foundation for the next stage of stone care.

Red bricks that have been hardened and penetrated have a mirror effect after polishing.

Do not use strongly acidic products

Because white stone contains more oxides (magnesium oxide) and has poor acid resistance, strong acidic products such as polishing powder, crystallizer K2 or 2501 cannot be used.

Moreover, these products contain more irons, which easily react with water and turn yellow.

It is recommended to use Brimar Polishing Paste as a stone care material. Stir the paste into a slurry before use. This will allow the paste to be better evenly distributed on the white marble.

Use 3M4100 white polishing pad (or similar soft pad) for polishing. If you use steel wool for polishing, you usually use it with a pad first to seal the micropores and then use steel wool for polishing. This can prevent the steel wool residue from rusting and turning yellow when exposed to water.
